How To Find A Personal Injury Lawyer

There are a number of things to consider when seeking the best personal injury lawyer to handle your case. You’ll find that there are a lot of options and it can be overwhelming to weed through them. In fact, you may even be getting solicited by so-called “ambulance chasers.” While the reputation of the industry may not be great, there are many good personal injury lawyers out there. Here’s how to find one.

Seek an Experienced Lawyer

Lawyers tend to be specialists or generalists. Look for a lawyer who specializes in personal injury and accidents. This person will better understand the laws that apply to your case. They also have the resources of experts and medical professionals to help you build a case and get treatment for your injuries. Don’t hesitate to ask how long the lawyer has been practicing personal injury law.

Ideally, your lawyer will also have experience handling cases like yours. For example, if you’ve been hurt by a defective product, it’s important to have a lawyer with experience in products liability claims. If you’ve been injured in a motorcycle or tractor-trailer accident, you’ll want a lawyer who has handled these types of accidents before.

Ask About Their Success Rate

You need an attorney who has more than just the experience of taking on personal injury cases. Almost all personal injury claims are settled between the parties, sometimes before a lawsuit is ever filed—but a few cases do go to trial. You need an attorney who has successfully negotiated settlements and litigated personal injury cases all the way to a jury verdict. Ask the attorney what their success rate is. If they can’t provide it, they likely don’t have a high one.

Ask for Referrals

Almost everyone knows someone who has had a personal injury or workers’ compensation case, so ask friends and family for referrals to find a lawyer that they had a good experience with. Getting referrals helps you get a starter list of lawyers to interview. Of course, if someone had a bad experience with a lawyer, this is valuable information as well. You can immediately cross them off the list and move on to the next prospect.

Work on Contingency

Lawyers are expensive; they charge hundreds of dollars an hour for their work. If you’ve been hurt, this is likely something that you can’t afford to pay out of pocket. The good news is that reputable personal injury lawyers work on contingency. This means that they don’t get paid until you get paid. It is common for contingency amounts to be anywhere from 25% to 40%, so look for a lawyer who works within those ranges. They’ll take their cut from your winnings and the good ones factor in legal fees into the final settlement to make sure you get the most out of your claim.

Choose Someone You Can Get Along With

A personal injury case can be a long journey to regaining your health and getting a fair settlement. This journey will have ups and downs and you’ll want to feel good about the conversations you have with your lawyer. This is why you want to choose a personal injury lawyer that you get along with. This means the attorney listens to you, answers your questions and explains things in a way you understand. You feel that the attorney has your best interest at heart. If you feel that they are just taking the case for the money, you might want to move on to someone else.

A Professional Office

A personal injury case has a lot of moving parts with many deadlines that need to be met to keep settlement negotiations going or comply with court demands. A professional office suggests that a lawyer has the processes in place to do their job effectively. Choose a lawyer who has an organized office with files properly stored. Your lawyer should also be on time when meeting with you and prompt when responding to you.

Interview Multiple Lawyers

Talking to multiple lawyers will help you identify who you are best matched with. Compare them based on their experience, their costs and what their office environment is like. You’ll also get a good sense of expectations about your case by meeting with multiple lawyers. Each will give you an idea of what your case challenges might be and what your success likely is. Be wary of someone who seems to have an exaggerated sense of your success—they might not be able to back it up.

In these difficult times of rising prices, scarce resources & busy lives an injured driver or passenger will need an experienced skilled Seattle car accident lawyer. When the other driver is at fault, the injured person needs to hire the best.

pends a great deal on the skill of the Seattle area car accident lawyer.

For example, at the Kannin Law Firm, they have won compensation of $250K for a motorcycle crash and $460K for a traumatic brain injury.

An excellent Seattle car accident lawyer must have excellent negotiation skills. Many car accident compensation cases never go to court. If the attorney for the injured person knows how to deal with the insurance company and aggressively fight for the rights of the injured person, then the case can be settled before it goes to court. Settlements can be increased during negotiations by the fact that your attorney has been to court lots with a great track record. John Kannin has represented clients in over 85 jury trials, so he is no stranger to the court room. This benefits his clients who must be in court and those whose cases he negotiates to settlement before trial.

An experienced Seattle car accident lawyer will know to closely examine the medical records to find out how much money the victim will need to cover future medical costs. Some catastrophic injuries mean that the victim will never work again, and the injury lawyer will need to make sure the victim wins enough to compensate for these losses. For example, Attorney John Kannin recently won $200K for a victim with a back injury from a car accident.

When the car accident results in the death of a loved one, survivors will be in shock and not know where to turn for help. This is the critical time to call Kannin Law Firm, P.S. for help.

In the state of Washington, a wrongful death lawsuit must be filed by a “personal representative” of the deceased person’s estate. When a loved one has died in an accident, Kannin Law Firm, P.S. , will help relatives choose a personal representative and ensure they are appointed by the court so that the wrongful death lawsuit can proceed efficiently to a settlement. Should You Buy 4G or 5G Phone in 2022? Is it worth buying a 5G phone?

2022 has begun, but the biggest question of 2021 will bother people equally this year. The question is, Should you buy a 4G or 5G phone in 2022 in India?

Smartphone brands are launching 5G phones every other day in India. They are using terms like ‘Futuristic 5G phone with x number of bands’.

It seems like the end of the world without a 5G phone. But the question is, Do you really need to buy a 5G phone in 2022 in India?

  • What if you buy a 4G phone in 2022?
  • What if your budget is limited, and you can’t spend much to buy a proper 5G phone?
  • Is it worth buying a 4G phone in 2022?

The most important question is, Will this society accept you with a 4G phone in hand?

To be honest, we don’t care about society, and you shouldn’t either.

What we care about is guiding you to invest your money in the right phone.

So, Should you buy a 4G or 5G phone in 2022 in India? Here is everything you need to know.

Why people are crazy for 5G

After buying a new phone, the trending question that is being asked is, Is your phone 5G

Everyone knows 5G doesn’t work as of now in India, but still, people are getting too excited about it.

But why is this happening? Why are people preferring 5G smartphones even when the 5G doesn’t even exist as of now?

The answer is the brand’s Ads. Every smartphone brand is heavily advertising their smartphones as future-proof 5G phones. No matter if it makes sense or not, but they keep doing it and advertising it.

In the current situation, brands know the craze of people towards 5G, and hence, they are giving more 5G bands to boost their sales.

Because the brands are promoting 5G, people are thinking twice before buying a 4G phone. That’s why people are getting excited for 5G for no reason.

Is it worth buying a 5G phone now in India?

It’s 2022, and the 5G phones are launching every few days. But the actual question is, Is it worth buying a 5G phone now in India?

The answer is Yes and No. 5G is going to take at least one year to work properly all across the country.

So if you buy a phone now, especially for 5G, then you are paying for a feature that you can’t use for at least a year.

Reason to buy a 5G phone

There is only one reason to buy a phone, especially for 5G. The reason is time period. If you are going to use your phone for more than two-three years, then you can buy a 5G phone.

If you are a person who doesn’t change smartphones frequently and keeps using one phone for 2-3 years, then it’s worth buying a 5G phone now.

But here is a fun fact.

4G was launched in 2008, but major telecom companies like Airtel launched their 4G network in 2012.

Until 2016, most people had never used 4G. It took eight years for people to use this network, and that’s because of Jio.

So, if 5G gets launched by the end of 2022, it’s still going to take a few years to work properly all across the country.

Suppose you buy a phone just because of 5G and plan to use it for more than two years.

Now what?

If 5G starts to work in your location after a year, then you still can’t use the feature for which you have bought the phone for at least a year.

One year has passed, and then? Are 5G plans going to be cheaper? Absolutely not.

If 5G plans are going to be expensive, then most people won’t even use it even if they have a 5G phone. Then what’s the point of buying a 5G phone? Just think for a moment.

Note: These are all possibilities. Depending on an individual, the usage of 5G may vary. Some may use 5G, and some may not.

Double-check the 5G bands before buying any 5G phone

If you have made up your mind to buy a 5G phone, then please double check the bands first.

Some brands are fooling people by providing one or two 5G bands.

Whenever 5G is going to launch, there is less probability that 5G is going to work properly on such phones because of the band limitations.

How many bands does your 5G phone should have?

If the 5G phone you are going to buy has 5 to 7 bands, then there are very high chances that it’s going to work perfectly with 5G in future.

Is it worth buying a 4G phone now in India?

Yes, it’s absolutely worth buying a 4G phone in India in 2022. If you buy a 4G phone, then you will use all the features of a phone.

The older 4G processor, like Snapdragon 845, is still powerful enough to run any application.

The best thing about buying a 4G phone is that you aren’t compromising on features.

Many companies have launched good 4G phones, but their 5G variants are just garbage.

The Redmi Note 10 Pro is an excellent smartphone under 20k, but the Note 11 Pro 5G is just an average phone. It isn’t a significant upgrade over the Note 10 Pro, but it has 5G.

Just for the sake of 5G, companies are skimping on many features, especially in the budget segment.

The price of the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G has dropped to 21000. Now it has become the best value for money phone for around 20k.

In the flagship territory, things are working fine. You will get 5G as well as all the features without any compromise.

Should You Buy 4G or 5G Phone in 2022?

See, we aren’t saying you should never buy a 5G phone now in 2022. All we are saying is, don’t put 5G as your main priority.

Instead of 5G, other useful features should be your main priority. Other features like camera, processor, display, battery life should be on the top of your priority list.

No matter a 4G or 5G phone offers these features. If these features are what you need, then buy that smartphone and live happily with it.

If you are looking for a premium phone, then you can simply go with a 5G phone because flagship phones don’t have such issues.

If you really need a good 5G phone, we highly suggest you take a look at the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G. It was a great phone, but now it has got even better for Rs 21k.

Will 4G stop after 5G in India? Will 4G be discontinued?

It is the biggest fear why people are forcing themselves to buy a 5G phone. But do you really need to worry if you buy a 4G phone today?

Let’s make it clear with an example.

There is a company ‘A’ that launches a 5G smartphone under 20k and heavily advertises it as a 5G phone with 5-10 bands.

Later, the same company ‘A’ launches a budget 4G smartphone under 12k, and keeps quiet about 5G.

Will that newly launched budget 4G phone stop working after the launch of 5G? If yes, then why did that company launch a 4G phone if it’s going to stop working.

The company launched it because they know 4G will keep working without any problem for years.

It was just one example, but in reality, almost every company is doing the same.

What we want to say is, don’t be afraid about it. 4G isn’t going anywhere, at least for 5-6 years or maybe more.

Why brands heavily advertise their phone as 5G?

We all know that the 5G isn’t going to work anytime sooner. The brands also know the same. Then why brands are heavily advertising their phones as 5G?

The answer is chipset. Qualcomm/MediaTek is making their new processors with an in-build 5G modem. It means the 5G is integrated with the processor itself.

A smartphone company can’t remove the 5G modem. So when a company buys processors from Qualcomm or MediaTek, they have to pay extra because of the 5G modem.

Basically, smartphone companies are forced to buy a processor with 5G. It doesn’t matter if 5G is available or not.

Further, these companies are doing the same with customers. They are selling phones with 5G, no matter if it’s working or not.

FAQs

Will 5G phones be expensive?

Yes, 5G phones are more expensive than 4G phones. But 5G isn’t everything that affects the cost. Other features like cameras, display, battery, the design also matter when pricing a phone.

Companies are trying their best to keep the cost lower. In return for that, you would have to compromise on specs, like build quality, cameras, or processor.

There are a lot of inexpensive 5G phones in the market that have compromised the specs just for the sake of 5G.

When 5G will launch in India?

In December 2020, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani revealed that Jio 5G will be launching in India in the second half of 2021.

Now, 2021 has passed, and we see no sign of 5G yet. It has to be seen when Reliance will make 5G available in the Indian market.

There is a strong possibility that you see 5G signals by the end of 2022.

Does 5G phones support 4G?

Yes, all the 5G phones will support 4G. It’s just similar to a 4G phone that supports 3G and 2G.

Similar to it, a 5G phone will support 4G without any doubt.

So, Should You Buy 4G or 5G Phones in 2022? We are sure you know the answer now.

If you still have any doubt in your mind, then feel free to ask in the comments. We would love to help you in this regard.

We hope you have found what you have been looking for. If so, then share this article with others.

8 Ways To Keep Your Mobile Phone Safe From Cyber Attackers

8 Ways To Keep Your Mobile Phone Safe From the Cyber Attackers

With the increasing use of the mobile phones to shop online and to perform the internet banking transactions, it is worthwhile to remembering the 8 things you can do to keep your mobile phone safe from the cyber-attackers.

1.    Beware of the software you install

Many applications require access to your mobile phone camera and photos before the installation. Unless you trust the creator of the application, it is safer to avoid the installing as your device will be vulnerable to the external tampering and sensitive data theft. Ensure that the permissions given match the purpose of the downloaded application. After the application is been installed, you may or may not be able to change this permission.

2.    Do not open the suspicious URLs

If you receive an invitation to click on a URL to win the prize or the holiday within the next 15 minutes, and that the little voice in your head which is telling you that it seems too look good to be true, it probably is. Do not click on any links even if it looks like it was sent from a friend, and do not be pressured to make the quick and potentially unsafe decisions.

3.    Do not use the modified smartphones or the electronic devices

When the restrictions imposed by the smartphone or the electronic device manufacturer have been removed to allow the installation of the unauthorized software (known as “jailbreak” for iOS, “rooting” for Android), it is possible for your device to be fully controlled apparently. Your mobile device can be used for the criminal activities, for the cyber scams or the attacks, without your knowledge.

4.    Avoid using the free WiFi networks

When you connect to a hotel’s free WiFi network or to a public WiFi network in a restaurant or at a shopping mall, always check with the staff what the name of the official free WiFi network is. Cyber attackers sitting close by can also introduce the fake WiFi access points with the network name very close to legitimate one, like “C0ffeeshop” instead of “Coffeeshop”.The Fake WiFi networks can ask you to provide the personal information such as the email addresses and the passwords.

5.    Do not make the sensitive transactions using the public WiFi networks

Some improperly developed or configured mobile applications can allow the cyber attackers to tap on the same WiFi network to sniff and decode the personal sensitive data accessed via your mobile device. Even if a secure HTTP connection is used, some applications may not be sufficiently validated which can lead to your web traffic being intercepted by a cyber attacker, sitting between you and the application’s servers.

6.    Set Pins/ face recognition/ fingerprint for the device unblock

If you have not done it, set a phone lock. Sometimes cyber attackers do not need to steal your phone to install the malicious applications. Three minutes of the unattended access to your mobile device is more than a enough time to transfer all your private information to an external web drive.

7.    Do not leave your mobile device with the strangers even for charging

When you leave your mobile phone to charge at public locations, your data can be transferred to the another device without your knowledge. It is better to use a power bank than to hand over your mobile device to the unknown people, even if they look friendly.

8.    Use an anti-malware suspension with a remote wipe function.

Installing an anti-malware application in your mobile device will enable you to remotely wipe all your personal data from it in the event that it is stolen, once the device is switched on and online again.

Mobile devices offer us many conveniences, but it is important to remember that these are  susceptible to the cyber attacks. Taking the proper precautions will help you to keep your personal information and data safe from the cyber criminals.

9. According to the World Bank, the project was started with the very little assessment of the resettlement and the rehabilitation and the environmental impact.

10. The benefits of the project is that unused water from Narmada river could be used for serving many dry towns, villages and the districts of Gujarat. The project provides the electricity to the unserved regions and also to the farmers. It also provides the water for the irrigation and for the drinking purpose. It provides the flood protection to the area of about 30,000 hectares. The Wildlife sanctuaries will also be benefited.

So, these are the interesting and unknown facts about the Sardar Sarovar Dam.

Read Along by Google is an app that's primarily geared toward children

Read Along by Google is an app that's primarily geared toward children. It aims to help you improve your reading skills in both English and Hindi. The app will encourage you to read aloud and, thanks to the device's own microphone, will provide you with real-time feedback, even if you don't have an internet connection.

The initial catalog that you'll find in Read Along by Google contains more than forty short stories in Hindi and English, which you can start reading with just one tap. Throughout the process, you'll be accompanied by Diya, the app's personal assistant. Diya will help you with the pronunciation of any word, will congratulate you when you do a good job, and can even explain the meaning of some words and expressions.

Google today is launching a new app, Read Along, that aims to help elementary school students practice their reading skills and stay educationally engaged amid school closures due to coronavirus. The new Android app is based on Google’s existing application, Bolo, which launched in India last year with a catalog of read-along stories in both English and Hindi. The updated and rebranded version is now globally available with support for nine languages.

Like Bolo, Read Along leverages Google’s speech recognition and text-to-speech to help kids learn to read.

The app includes a built-in reading assistant named Diya. As kids read aloud, Diya detects if the child is struggling with a passage and can jump in with positive reinforcement or help. At any time, the child can ask Diya to help them read a sentence or pronounce a word they don’t know.

As children progress in the app, they’re presented with mini word games and earn in-app prizes as they improve their skills.

Google says the app was built with children’s privacy in mind and is able to work without either Wi-Fi or data. The voice data is analyzed in real-time on the device, and is not synced, stored or analyzed on Google’s servers. The company also stresses that it’s not using a voice sample from the kids to make the product better.

The app doesn’t include advertising or in-app purchases, either. Parents can opt to connect to the internet if they want to download additional stories, but there isn’t a charge.

At launch, Read Along offers around 500 stories and the catalog is continually expanded with new books

Since its debut as Bolo in March 2019, Google says feedback from parents was encouraging, prompting it to bring the app to new markets. While in India “Bolo” is broadly understood to mean “speak,” Google rebranded the app to Read Along to resonate with parents and children around the world. The app has also been updated with an enhanced library, new games and other user interface improvements since launch.

The new Read Along app is now globally available, except in the Philippines, Colombia and Denmark, and offers stories in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

The app is a free download on Google Play for children ages 5 and up.

Read Along (Bolo): Learn to Read with Google

After finishing a story, your little ones can enjoy playing some simple minigames which typically consist of creating words using a series of letters. Diya will pronounce the words you have to form, and you'll have to put the letters in order. This simple and fun exercise will help your children to learn words related to the story they just finished reading. When you complete these exercises, you'll also get rewards in the app.

Knee Pain and Problems

Knee Pain

Knee problems are very common. At their worst, they cause pain that interferes with daily activities, including walking. You may feel this pain when bending your knee, while putting weight on it, or all the time. However, there are treatments and pain management options that can eliminate or alleviate these problems. Pain management specialists are especially suited to help. Physician anesthesiologists who are experts in pain management are trained to evaluate and develop a treatment plan specifically for each patient.

What causes knee pain?

Your knee joint is made of bone, cartilage, ligaments, and fluid. Muscles and tendons help the knee joint move. When any of these structures is damaged, you have knee problems. These are some of the more common causes of knee pain:

Osteoarthritis. The cartilage in the knee gradually wears away.
Rheumatoid arthritis. The knee may become swollen and cartilage may be destroyed.
Ligament injuries. Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries usually result from a sudden twisting motion. Injuries to the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) are usually caused by a direct impact, like impact from a car accident or sports activities.

Tendon injuries. These can range from inflammation to a tear, most likely from overuse in sports or from a fall.

Cartilage injuries and disorders. Injury, overuse, muscle weakness, or misalignment of the knee can soften the cartilage of the kneecap, or a blow to the knee may tear off a piece of cartilage.
Broken kneecap. The small, round bone (patella) that sits over the front of your knee joint breaks, usually as the result of a fall or a direct blow to the knee.

Why should I see a pain management specialist?

Pain management is an important part of any treatment plan, both for lessening discomfort and aiding in recovery. Pain management specialists understand the full range of pain relief options and how to use these options in combination. Treatments done as part of a comprehensive, multimodal plan may help even if each treatment does not seem to make a difference when used in isolation.

Pain management specialists work with patients to help diagnose pain and treat it safely and effectively with as few side effects as possible. These treatments do not have to involve medication. In fact, pain management is generally more successful when a comprehensive approach is used, with or without medications.

When should I see a pain management specialist?

You should consult with a pain management specialist if your acute (short-term) knee pain seems to be transitioning into chronic (long-term) pain. Generally, this is when the pain lasts longer than 90 days, but it could be sooner. Pain that lasts longer than expected for the condition you have is a warning sign that the pain is becoming chronic.

Pain management specialists can provide diagnosis and treatment on their own or in consultation with other health care providers. These may include your primary care physician, orthopedist, rheumatologist, or physical therapist.

Orthopedists treat problems related to bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. Rheumatologists specialize in the nonsurgical treatment of arthritis and other rheumatic diseases. Physical therapists use exercises and stretches, movement training, medical massage, and other hands-on techniques to help patients increase mobility, ease pain, and protect against further injury.

How is the cause of knee pain diagnosed?

A thorough examination is necessary for an accurate determination. The examination should include an assessment of whether the pain actually stems from the knee. Sometimes knee pain can be referred pain from another source, such as a hip injury. “Referred pain” means that an injury or disease in one part of the body is causing pain in a different location.

When making a diagnosis, your doctor will consider information that includes the following:

Patient characteristics. Some conditions are more likely to occur in individuals with certain characteristics. For example, osteoarthritis is more frequent in older adults, and conditions associated with overuse are more frequent in people who participate in athletic activities. Obesity can also be a factor in some conditions.

Patient history. The physician asks questions to determine potential sources of trauma, such as car accidents or sports injuries. The physician will also ask where and when you feel the pain.
Results of a physical examination. The physician moves and probes your knee for signs of damage to the muscle, tendon, or cartilage. This includes exploring the location of the pain, such as behind the knee, in front of the knee, or inside of or on top of the knee.

Results of imaging and other tests. Sometimes X-rays, MRIs, or other diagnostic tests are needed to identify structural damage or abnormalities.

What treatments can provide pain relief?

The nature of your injury will guide the treatment. So will your preferences. It is best to consider the full menu of options available. These include:

RICE (rest, ice, compression, and elevation). This can work for acute pain, but treatment is different for chronic pain. For chronic pain, rest may weaken muscles that need strengthening to reduce or eliminate the pain.

Exercise and physical therapy. Some exercises help build or stretch muscles and ease pain. You also need to know which exercises should be avoided because they could cause further damage to your knee.

Lifestyle changes. There are changes you can make to reduce your pain. For example, maintaining a healthy weight lessens stress on your knees. You may also need to avoid activities, such as running, that exert too much force on the knees.

Genicular nerve blocks. This treatment blocks pain signals that the genicular nerves transmit between the knee joint and the brain. This is first done with an injection of an anesthetic for short-term relief. If it is effective, the patient can get longer-term relief with a nonsurgical procedure called radiofrequency ablation. This procedure generates heat to coagulate the proteins in the nerve, which stops the pain signals.

Peripheral nerve stimulation. A surgeon implants electrodes and a small battery pack near the peripheral nerves that transmit pain signals from the knee. The electrodes deliver a weak electrical current to the nerve (producing a tingling sensation) that tricks it into turning off pain signals to the brain. The patient controls the frequency of electrical stimulation.

Complementary therapies. Some people find relief using massage, biofeedback, relaxation, meditation, acupuncture, yoga, or visualization.

Medication. This includes over-the-counter remedies, such as acetaminophen and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and more powerful drugs like opioids. Other medications can help too, including steroids. Because opioids can be addictive, it’s important to have a qualified pain management specialist oversee your medication plan. Some caution is also required with anti-inflammatory medications and steroids, which can weaken cartilage and knee joints.

Surgery. This is primarily used to fix structural damage. Surgery should not be the first choice, but sometimes it is the only solution. The Made for This Moment knee surgery page provides details on options and pain management considerations.

Regenerative therapies. Researchers continue to explore options such as plasma injections and stem cell treatments. The research is still in its early stages and is not yet conclusive.

Physician anesthesiologists are committed to patient safety and high-quality care, and have the necessary knowledge to understand and treat the entire human body.
