યોજનાનો ઉદ્દેશ : રાષ્ટ્રીય સામાજિક સહાય કાર્યક્રમ (National Social Assistance Programme(NSAP)) હેઠળ વૃદ્ધોને આર્થિક સહાય આપવી.
The Social Security Department facilitates to avail social empowerment through the activities of welfare and rehabilitation of the weaker sections of the society like Orphans, destitute, children and youths, who are turned to offensive activities and the girls who became prey to the circumstances, physically and mentally disabled children and adults, old aged persons, destitute widows and beggars.
Indira Gandhi National old pension (Vaya Vandana scheme):
(A) Eligibility Criteria:
60 years or more
Member of the family in 0 to 20 score of BPL list
(B) A place to give application: respective mamlatdar office, Jan Seva Kendra of respective district collector offices
(C) Documents to be attached with the application
Age Certificate
BPL Certificate
(D) Monthly Assistance: Rs.500/- for 60 to 79 age group and Rs. 1000/- for more than 80 years which also includes Rs. 500/- by State Government
(E) Mode of assistance: Bymoneyorder. Option to get financial assistance through Post Account or Bank Account pension by D.B.T. credit.

Mode of pension payment:
The modes of pension payment are monthly, quarterly, half-yearly & yearly. The pension payment shall be through NEFT or Aadhaar Enabled Payment System. The first instalment of pension shall be paid after 1 year, 6 months, 3 months or 1 month from the date of purchase of the same depending on the mode of pension payment i.e. yearly, half-yearly, quarterly or monthly respectively.
